HABITAT:They live in the mountains at around 1800-3000 meters.They primarily live in the thick forests but also they can live in secondary bamboo growth.

DESCRIPTION: Although they are listed as an endangered species, in avairies there are lot of birds. They are hardy and easy to breed but better to keep them in pairs as the females can fight eachothers.

FEEDING: Pellets, seeds, green food, live food.
BREEDING AGE:In the first year.
BREEDING SEASON: In march.
NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 16-24 eggs.
