HABITAT:In the forests over 3000m.
HISTORY: Verreaux 1868.
DISCRIPTION: They are great diggers and they can destroy the plants in the avairy. It is better to use higher plants. They can become very tame and you can feed them from your hands.
AVAIRY POSITION:Well planted 18 m2 avairy.
FEEDING: Pellets, seeds, green food, live food.
BREEDING AGE: First year but fertile eggs in the second year.
BREEDING SEASON:April to June.
NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR:8-14 eggs.
INCUBATION PERIOD: 24-25 days.
