HISTORY: First Cochins were raised by members of the religious order Brahmo-Buddhists and followers of Khoung-foo-tsee and Leo-tsee, who worshipped ancestral spirits and believed in the immortality of life forms. Cochins were used primarily as  food for the brotherhood and travelers.
