& India. HISTORY: The first Brahmas came to England in 1853 and originated from the Indian side of the Brahma Pootra River, opposite Chittagong, China. The first Brahmapootras were imported in 1846 from Lukpoor, a good distance from Brahma Pootra River. SUB SPECIES: -Light Brahma -Dark Brahma -Buff Brahma DESCRIPTION:Male is about 5.5 kg and female is about 4 kg in weight. AVAIRY POSITION:Wire based 2m2 avairy. FEEDING: Seeds, green food and pellets. BREEDING AGE: 6months. BREEDING SEASON: In suitable conditions all the year. NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 150-180 eggs. INCUBATION PERIOD: 21 days. |
