DISCRIPTION: It
is very beautiful, hardy, easy to keep and great for beginners. The most of the first
imported Lady Amherst' pheasants to Europe were males. So the breeders used goldens'
females.It is important to recognize the correct female of golden in stead of Lady
Amhersts' females. These are the tips;
a) Goldens' legs are yellow. b)Goldens' females
are smaller than the Lady Amherst's females. c)Lady Amherst's females' legs are
green-gray.d) Golden females have no tinge of red in the crown.
AVAIRY POSITION:Well planted 9 m2 avairy.
FEEDING: Pellets,
seeds, green food, live food.
BREEDING AGE: Second
year but also it is possible to have fertile eggs in the first year.
BREEDING SEASON: Mid-
April.
NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 24-36 eggs.
INCUBATION PERIOD: 22-23 days.
