| RANGE: In
summerv they are breeding in central Arctic Siberia and in winter time they are migrating
to southeast Europe. HABITAT:Near to lakes and rivers and all forms of wetlands. They are breeding on the ground and mostly breed in group of pairs in the same area. GENERAL INFO:As they are not agressive birds it is easy to put them with the other waterfowl.You have to keep them in pairs. DESCRIPTION:They are nearly similar but male's legs are taller and they are bigger than the females. AVAIRY POSITION:Well planted 15m2 avairy with a pond. FEEDING: Corn, wheat, oats, rye, millet, milo , stale bread, potatoe, greens and pellet feeds. BREEDING AGE: Second or third year BREEDING SEASON: Early June. NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 3-6 eggs. INCUBATION PERIOD: 24-26 days. |
