HABITAT:Well-watered habitats from alluvial river banks and tall grass to jungle-cultivation mosiacs along canals and other watercourses and irrigated forest plantations.

F.f.bogdanovi     -South Iran , east to South Pakistan.
F.f.henrici       -South Pakistan and west India.
F.f.asiae       -North India.
F.f.melanotus    -East India and Bangladesh
DESCRIPTION: Male 330-360 mm.
AVAIRY POSITION:Well planted 4m2 avairy.
FEEDING: Seeds, chick crumbs, live food and green food.
BREEDING AGE: First year.
BREEDING SEASON: April - June.
NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 16-24 eggs.
INCUBATION PERIOD: 18-19 days.
