BLACK BELLIED  SANDGROUSE   /  Pterocles orientalis
RANGE: From Turkey to Iran and in the south they   live in  North Africa.
HABITAT:Arid or semi-arid areas near to deserts.
HISTORY:
DESCRIPTION: Male 340 mm. They are living in groups and in the nature they can fly for kilometres for water. They can carry water to their chicks from 25 km with their breast feathers.
AVAIRY POSITION:Well planted sand based 12 m2 avairy.
FEEDING: Seeds ,plants , insects and pellets .
BREEDING AGE: 1 year.
BREEDING SEASON: April- June.
NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 3-6 eggs.
INCUBATION PERIOD: 21 days.
