HABITAT:Scrub in lowlands, hills, dry meadows, heathland and cultivated areas.

FEEDING: Seeds, green food, live food and chick crumbs.
BREEDING AGE: First year.
BREEDING SEASON: April to June.
NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 24-36 eggs.
INCUBATION PERIOD: 23-24 days.
