SUB SPECIES: A.c.chucar - East Afghanistan to Nepal. A.c.cypriotes - Bulgaria to Syria. A.c.sinaica - North Syria Desert to Sinai Peninsula A.c.werae - East Iraq and south-west Iran. A.c.koroviakovi- East Iran, East to Pakistan. A.c.subpallida - Tadzhikistan. A.c.falki- North central Afghanistan, North to Kazakhstan and East to West Xinjiang in China. A.c.dzungarica- North - west Mongolia , Altai in Russia and east Tibet. A.c.pallescens- North-east Afghanistan, East to North west India and west Tibet. A.c.pallida- West and south Xinjiang Province in China. A.c.fallax- Tien Shan mountains, North-west Xinjiang Province in China. A.c.pubescens- China , from North-east through Neimonggol to West Sichuan and west Quighai. A.c.potanini - West Mongolia. DESCRIPTION: Male 340-390 mm. Female slightly smaller than male , duller head pattern and no tarsal knob. It look like the rock partridge. The differences are the the black patterning on head, throat, and flank feathers. AVAIRY POSITION:Sand or wire based avairies can be used. 1m2 can be enough for a pair. FEEDING: Chick crumbs ,seeds , green food, live food. BREEDING AGE: First year. BREEDING SEASON: March to July. NUMBER OF EGGS IN A YEAR: 50-70 eggs. INCUBATION PERIOD:22-24 days. |
